Pond5 has releases some of its content to public domain.

When it comes to discovering media believed to be in the public domain one of the biggest challenges is knowing who and where the available resources are located. Fortunately, the creative team of contributors over at Pond5 has made it easier to connect with public domain materials.

Recently, Pond5 launched nearly 80,000 pieces of royalty-free media assets through its Public Domain Project. Included in the release are videos, sound clips, images, 3D models and much more. You can listen to famous speeches from Winston Churchill, General Douglas MacArthur and Neil Armstrong, plus 3D models featuring a variety of satellites and science equipment.

Apart from Pond5’s Public Domain Project visitors can also explore millions of other pieces of content that are available via purchase. The Pond5 site is extremely organized and easy to navigate, as well as filter by my media type and restrict to public domain content only if you choose.

In addition, if you’re a content creator you can join the Pond5 crew and upload your work, set your price and sell through the Pond5 site. Not too shabby. To learn more about Pond5 visit there website and don’t forget to share with friends too.
